The high biocompatibility of plant-derived extracellular vesicles allows efficient delivery of their cargo to recipient cells without causing cell damage and inflammatory reactions.

This open the way to the production of a new class of mRNA vaccines that can be stored at room temperature and administered as capsules, overcoming all the problems connected with the cold-supply chain and the medically-assisted administration and providing the easiest access and a more comfortable vaccination experience to the patients.
